Lamentations of a Conservative

Why there will be a revolution

After watching and listening to fellow conservatives over the past several weeks, I felt compelled to analyze what I’ve been hearing.

We all wanted change! Some of us didn’t like Trump, but we wanted and hoped he would do what was right. He has. Many of the NeverTrumpers came around, but a few hang in there, looking for every opportunity to find defects in the man and in his policies. But these folks are a minority in the populist movement that has swept across America.

There is no longer any doubt that the populist sentiment and America first attitude of the vast majority of Americans is not shared by our congressional leaders, dozens of governors, or the republican party itself. One must ask the question why? If they “represent” the people, then why do they work against what the people want? So many interpret what they see as ideology, principles, or some sort of RINOism. Could they actually believe that what they are doing is serving a constituency that they need to get re-elected? How can that be possible? Trump won by defeating 16 other republicans…..none of whom were touting a populist message.  Could it be that they believe the right thing is to keep going down the path we’re on? What average citizen does that benefit other than the ones taking from the system? Do they know that? Or are they possibly so entrenched in the status quo, that they can’t grasp what change looks like? That is very doubtful….these guys just aren’t that stupid. So what is the reason?

I have looked long and hard at that question. Have spent countless hours researching, and analyzed countless data. There is only one possible answer to that question. CORRUPTION!  We, in America, have always taken great pride in our system of government….our constitution, our system of checks and balances, our respect for law, and our democratic republic.  But while we were sleeping, that system has been destroyed. Our governments have become as corrupt as any third world dictatorship. We. the people, are being lied to and fleeced of our wealth and freedom, given just enough of both to keep believing in the usefulness of those very governments.

I say these things with a broken heart. Few have fought as hard as I have, to shape government in the form that I understand from years of reading  history,  being active in politics, and supporting those people who said they would do the right thing. I now realize that all of it was for nothing. The level of corruption is so virulent, that it is beyond repair. There is no over-riding mechanism that can reverse the decay. No honest people who will step up and challenge those in power. Trump was and is our last hope. But after 6 months, it seems doubtful that even he can get past the obstacle of congress and the corrupt corporate world they represent.

For me, this culminated in the Obamacare debates, plans, and bills presented by congress.  It would have been the easiest thing to do…simply repeal the ACA, and work on something else over the next few years. Why didn’t it get done? Let me give you some facts:

The healthcare industry donated $72 million to the RNC alone, in 2016.  The profits in the healthcare industry in 2013….before the ACA was fully implemented….were 8 billion dollars. In 2015, those same profits, just two years later, were 15 billion dollars. Over that same period, stock prices, in general, for the healthcare industry were up 59%.  In a study of the top 7 hospitals in America, revenue was up 15% from 2014 to 2015 and unpaid care was down 35% over the same period….all of it due to Medicaid expansion.

Now….couple those facts, to the actions of the GOP congress’ actions.  Are they telling us the truth? Is it really a difference in policy ideas? Is it just the way congress works? Is it like McConnell says…..”it just takes time” ? You’d have to be an idiot to believe any of that.  But set aside the money for a minute. Rather

than believing they do it for campaign donations, could there be another, more onerous agenda at hand? I think so.  You see, Trump is a threat to the plan, that they have colluded with corporate America to put in place. The ACA was meant to change the way Insurance is paid for. The ultimate goal was to take the burden of insurance off of corporations and place it squarely at the feet of the people. Whether its buying it as an individual by force of law, or to have government pay all the bills, is irrelevant….the goal is to remove it as a benefit provided by corporate America. Everything congress is and will do is to benefit large, multi-national corporations. But why? Why serve a few wealthy CEOs at the expense of millions of Americans? The bigger picture is globalism. In order to secure a safe and secure world market, the playing field in America has to be equivalent to that in Denmark, India, or Bangladesh.  And that includes relieving the corporate world of healthcare costs. There can no longer be any doubt, that globalism is the enemy of the American people, and our congress has been colluding with that enemy for over 25 years. It is the plan and will continue to be the plan for as far as the eye can see. Sadly, recent events, demonstrate there is no relief coming.

Now, let me change gears for a minute, and talk about what happened in Charlottesville, VA, over the weekend of August 12th. Well…..it finaly happened. The right has done the unthinkable…..it acted violently, and with hate. At least this is what all of us are being told.  Yesterday, I gave an opinion on social media that I thought was accurate and astute. That opinion acknowledged the vile act, but pointed to its inevitability in light of years of the left pushing racism down our throats, making political correctness an accepted religion, and accepting the notion that blacks and Hispanics have been so discriminated against, that all white people owe them something to make up for the hate in our hearts. Now they have something to point to, that proves beyond all doubt, that white people are hateful racists and want all people of color gone or dead.  The debaters attacking me, had such sorrowful attitudes. Their guilt was palpable. This man’s hate was in all of us, and we need to change our hearts.  I can say with all honesty, that the inevitability of this one man’s actions was not so much as inevitable as it was predictable.  Soros and his minions have spent  billions to foment a radical leftist crew that push and push and push. Up to the point of this dasterdly deed, there have been surprisingly few reprisals from the right.  A punch here or a fight there, but no loss of life, or egregious acts of violence.  Have you ever seen what happens when you dump a lump of sodium in water? Its a quite violent reation.  Its the same when you place white racists in close proximity with black racists. The reaction becomes quite violent. Why these groups were allowed to intermingle is odd.  I smell a rat. Soros funded leftist anarchists were there in force. They have been seeking this confrontation for some time. Up to that moment, the right had resisted the urge to fight back…..but this group of white people was not the run of the mill conservative group. They would fight back.

So, you ask, what does this have to do with corruption and globalism? Alot!  You see, it is a wonderful thing when the interests of the useful idiots coincide with the interests of the globalists. The globalists in the corporate world have adapted from a strategy of fighting big government to create a freer global economy, to working with big government to achieve the same ends. They have found that when a $72 million dollar investment can return $7 billion in profits, that’s a good investment. (its 1% by the way) But its not just the healthcare industry……its pretty much every corporate interest in the world. They all invest millions and billions to boost profits and stock prices, by greasing the skids of lawmakers, as we drive to globalism.  It works like this: Despite 25 years of this push toward globalism, America still has a remnant of a working middle class. This is where the money must come from. The middle class must give up there money to buy their products and services and it must continue to fund government. This can only last as long as the middle class exists. Once the middle has been drained of its wealth and its jobs, the strategy will change. Corporate America, for years have been positioning itself for when that time comes. A society like many countries deal with everyday. One where poor people still buy, but the price must be low. No problem. There is always a place where labor is cheap and regulations are non-existant. We will always be a market for cheap stuff,  but using profits to pay the high price of American labor, simply to maintain a middle class, just doesn’t work for corporate America. The formula is working and our leaders are active players in the plan.

But I digress. Trump is a threat to the globalist agenda. Make no mistake who is pulling the strings. We’d like to believe that George Soros and Ted Cruz are polar opposites. But are they? Maybe for different reasons, but they both believe strongly, that globalism is good for the world, and for America.  There is no place for Trump…or us….in the political arena. The right and the left both want globalism in some form.  To be clear…trade is not globalism.  Trade happens when two parties exchange goods or services, to the BENEFIT of both parties. When $700 billion in wealth leaves America each year, that’s not trade…that’s globalism!  Globalism is wealth redistribution from our middle class to foreign nations and to government.

The actions in Charlottesville are just more attempts to end the Trump threat. The evidence, although anecdotal, are my friends on social media, feigning white guilt, and lamenting the actions of one nut job and a group of radicals, questioning our very heart, as we try to hang on. There will be more of this until we finally end the corruption in government and stop the corporations from pushing us into globalism.

Finally, I would love to advise that we resist the temptation to violence….but I can’t.  There will come a time when one incident like this leads to mass death providing a spark for a revolt. Someone or some group will retalliate, and it will  begin. Unless congress comes to its senses and exposes the corruption we are headed for revolution.
